Ask three questions
Is outpatient therapy covered? What is my copay or coinsurance? Have I met my deductible for this year yet?
- 3
Book a free consult
Once you know your benefits, send a short request. We'll talk through fit and any questions you have about cost.
Paying
Paying without insurance, and using an HSA for therapy

I accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
HSA
You can pay with your Health Savings Account card. Therapy is generally an eligible medical expense under IRS rules, but check with your HSA administrator if you're unsure.
Good Faith Estimate
If you're not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost. You can ask for one before we start. Read the Good Faith Estimate notice.

Can I use my HSA for therapy?
Yes, I accept HSA cards. Under IRS rules, therapy for mental health is generally an eligible medical expense. Your HSA administrator has the final say on your account, so if you're unsure, check with them before your first session.
Is couples therapy covered by insurance?
Sometimes. Some plans cover couples sessions, and others only cover therapy that treats a diagnosed condition for one person. The best way to know is to call your insurer and ask specifically about couples or family therapy. I'm happy to help you figure out what to ask.
What if my insurance plan isn't on your list?
Reach out anyway. I can provide a superbill, a receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether your plan reimburses is between you and your insurer, so check with them first. You can also pay by card or HSA.
How much does therapy cost without insurance?
Individual sessions are $170 and couples sessions are $180, and each one is 53 minutes. If you pay without insurance, you're entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or HSA card.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. Before we schedule a first session, we can have a free 15-minute consultation to talk about what's bringing you in and whether I feel like a good fit. It can be just you or, for couples, both of you together.
Questions about fees or insurance are welcome. I'm happy to help you understand your options.
